ASK ME ANYTHING—

Printing Process, PRINT QUALITY + DETAILS

From concept to completion, all artwork reproduction is from original artwork by Laura Cott. Each piece is carefully scanned and edited in-house and printed with high-quality inks and matte archival papers to ensure quality prints that last! Prints can be matted, dry-mounted, or framed.

Processing

All reproductions are printed to order in my home studio and can take 3-5 days and shipped ASAP unless you purchase express shipping at checkout. A tracking number will be added to your order upon shipping.

Can you print large? I mean, really large?

Because I do in-house printing, I am limited to 13x19 as the largest print size. If you want a larger print, we can discuss working with a third-party print shop. The printer will determine final pricing, turnaround time, and shipping.

If you want to fill a large wall area with my artwork, I recommend using a custom-size request form!  I offer collector discounts on multiple prints.  Email me to discuss that!

Are the originals available for each print?

All original artwork is available if not already purchased or accounted for. Unless otherwise stated, originals come finished in a frame.

Do you offer framing?

I highly encourage framing all your prints and originals. Not only do they look beautifully framed, but they will also help protect your artwork from damage and dust. I currently offer framing as a finishing option for your commissioned pieces and prints. You can choose a frame at check out, along with the size and style of mat you prefer. DON'T FORGET THE MAT. Seriously, mating your print can make all the difference in a frame. I only offer a limited supply of Raw Maple Wood Frames.

I work with a local framer if you want to build a frame from scratch. Pricing is based on overall dimension and style and the framer's estimate.

CAN I COMMISSION A PAINTING?

YES, of course! Pricing and sizes depend on the overall piece and are specific to each commission. If you want to discuss commissioning a painting or project, check out the commission request page.

HOW IS MY ARTWORK GOING TO BE SHIPPED?

Originals

  • All artwork is wrapped in paper, padded extremely well, and sent in a well-fitting, sturdy cardboard box—shipping cost is based on weight.

  • Most artwork will ship via USPS or UPS, and most packages arrive within 2-4 days (domestic) from the time of shipping (including tracking & insurance).

Prints

  • All prints are handled with care and packaged beautifully in plastic sleeves.

  • Mailed in a sturdy flat mailer

  • Shipped via USPS Priority Mail (usually arrives within 1-3 days within the US).

If the shipping cost estimated at checkout does not equal the actual shipping cost, the customer will be billed for the overage amount.

Returns

Artwork sales are final, but I want you to feel confident when purchasing. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want more detailed photographs of a piece you are considering; this will answer any questions about textures, values, or colors. Representing accurate color can be difficult from screens and monitors. While I will generally not accept returns, please contact me if there is damage to the artwork from transportation or other circumstances. Exceptional circumstances do apply and are on a case-to-case basis.

CAN I PICK UP MY ARTWORK FROM YOUR STUDIO?

Absolutely! You are also welcome & encouraged to pick up your order in person at my studio in Orchard Park, New York. Please use the "Local Pick Up" shipping option at check out to forgo shipping fees, and I will email you when the order is ready! We will work out a time to meet via email. You may contact us to set up a time at laura@lacottfineart.com. Please note I hold studio hours during the week. Weekend availability is limited and available upon request. Due to my studio location in my home, items will be available for grab-and-go pick up in a covered and secure place to limit contact.

studio Access

I will open my studio for one-on-one shopping, events, sales, and classes throughout the year. Due to my studio location, hours are specific to dates and times determined by LaCott Fine Art. Classes specified as "Studio" will occur at my home studio in Orchard Park, NY. Spaces are limited to accommodate the space and provide a more one-on-one experience for questions and instruction.

My studio is on a second level and only accessible through stairs. Parking is limited to spots in my drive and along the road. My street is busy, so please be mindful of traffic and my neighbor's yards and driveways.

More information, like address and additional details, will be provided after registration.

WORKSHOPS + CLASSES

Teaching is a way to bring my passion for painting to life. I offer in-person lessons, collaborate with small businesses to teach in their spaces, and provide online resources. (Please sign up for my mailing list to stay updated.) If you are interested in a private class or collaborating for a workshop in your space, click here!

CLASS POLICY:

Classes require a minimum attendance to run and are occasionally canceled due to low registration. In the event of a class cancellation, registrants will be notified before the class date, and a full refund will be issued.

If you need to cancel a class, you must cancel at least two days (48 Hours) before the class date to receive a refund or transfer credit. No refunds or transfers will be made on the day of the class or after the class has started or no show attendance for any reason. However, if you’d like to offer your seat in that class to a friend or family member, we’d be happy to let them take your seat. We ask that you please notify me ahead of time or email laura@lacottfineart.com as soon as possible.
