Learn to paint the hearty Carnation flower in this beginner-friendly watercolor floral workshop!
Build on foundational floral painting techniques to create a loose floral petal-cluster composition. We will explore the importance of petal shapes, repetitive brush stroke movements, and specific greenery details of the Carnation. We will discuss your brush's specific strokes, movements, directionality, and paint application to achieve this loose floral representation. We will focus on creating an organic and loose study of this flower and the importance of its ruffled petal texture.
Students will complete an 8x10 floral study to take home!
Students will receive a workbook to follow with the instructor during the class!
This class is a great building block for those students who have taken beginning floral watercolor classes and are interested in exploring a new floral in Watercolor painting.
