ILLUSTRATIVE HOUSE PORTRAITS IN WATERCOLOR

November 18th • 6:00pm -8:00pm

Build on your foundational watercolor practice and work toward a personal illustrative architectural subject: house portraits! Working from a personal photo, students will construct a gestural house line sketch, transfer, and finalize with Micron pens, and use Watercolor to bring our illustrations to life with color and texture.

We will break down compositional drawing, discuss transfer, and practice different watercolor elements to create cohesive, balanced artwork. We will be working toward an 8x10 final painting.

Recommended for intermediate-level students or those comfortable with color mixing, brush control, and basic drawing practices.

Students are responsible for providing a house reference photo to use for their house sketches!

The image should be able to fit on an 8x10 piece of paper and should not be printed larger than 8.5'x11"
