There is so much to learn in the world of greenery in watercolor painting!
Join me as we break down the foundational techniques in this beginner-friendly two-week series.
We will create various leaf shapes, strokes, and greenery details, while discussing the importance of pressure, directional pull, and the repetitive motion about brushstroke and paint application types to achieve more detailed work when representing greens, foliage, and leaves.
OUR CLASS STRUCTURE
Our series will cover these watercolor themes:
Class 1: Mastering Color & Tone- Creating the perfect "Green"
Mastering Brushstroke - Using the Round, Angle, and Liner Brushes
Building - Creating Various Loose Repetitive Leaf Patterns
Class 2: Value, Glazing & Sketching- Eucalyptus Study
Charging” In Watercolor- How to avoid flat, non-dimensionals Greens & Stems
At the end of each class, students will complete a series of practice exercises and small finished studies focusing on that week's goals!
