Join me as we explore one illustrative watercolor best fall subject, Leaves!
Inspired by nature, we will use a fall color scheme and work from life to create different-shaped leaves as our inspiration in this watercolor class! We will break down the foundational techniques for making this seasonal painting, walk through various leaf shapes, talk about composition, and map out our leaf shapes, and practice different watercolor skills to create a cohesive and balanced artwork.
Students are encouraged to bring their own leaves as inspiration. I recommend finding different shapes, sizes, and colors if possible.
Students will plan and design, work with warm-up exercises perfect for their everyday watercolor practice, and work toward a completed 8x10 study!
This class is a great building block for students who have taken beginning watercolor classes that focus on blending and layering.
Level:
Though this is a beginner-friendly class, it is excellent for those at the intermediate level.
Age:
This class is appropriate for ages 18+.

This class will take place at Hyatt’s
I will be in Hyatt’s classroom for a teacher meet-and-greet, where I will help students with supply questions and shop at the massive Hyatt’s store.

CLass POLICY:
Classes require a minimum attendance to run and are occasionally canceled due to low registration. In the event of a class cancellation, registrants will be notified before the class date, and a full refund will be issued.
If you need to cancel a class, you must cancel at least two days (48 Hours) before the class date to receive a refund or transfer credit. No refunds or transfers will be made on the day of the class or after the class has started or no show attendance for any reason. However, if you’d like to offer your seat in that class to a friend or family member, we’d be happy to let them take your seat. We ask that you please notify me ahead of time or email laura@lacottfineart.com as soon as possible.
